Florida businesses now can instantly receive e-mail and cell phone alerts from law enforcement officials on possible domestic security-related threats that could affect business and the community. Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials announced the counter-terrorism program, called BusinesSafe, in partnership with statewide regional security task forces and businesses. The free, Web-Based initiative is accessible to businesses of all types and sizes who sign-up by visiting www.fdle.state.fl.us/BSafe/ . Alerts will be sent on an as-needed basis and will include domestic security-related breaking news, possible threats, suspicious activity and specific preparedness and prevention techniques.
